The Lava Center

The Lava Center is a unique exhibition entirely dedicated to volcanism in Iceland. With around 30 active volcanic systems, Iceland is the most volcanic island on the planet, and its volcanoes have shaped both its breathtaking landscapes and rich history.

This modern and interactive exhibition presents a wealth of information in an engaging and entertaining way, making it a perfect experience for the whole family.

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall

Seljalandsfoss is the first waterfall you'll encounter while driving along Iceland’s South Coast from Reykjavík. This majestic 60-meter-high waterfall is famous for its unique feature.

Behind the waterfall, a vast cave allows visitors to walk around and experience the cascade from a whole new perspective. Hearing the water echo against the cave walls is truly unforgettable—don’t forget your rain jacket!

Please note that in the heart of winter, the path behind the waterfall becomes impassable and is closed for safety reasons.

Skógafoss Waterfall

The Skógafoss waterfall is arguably the most famous in Iceland. Easily visible from Route One, this mighty cascade plunges 60 meters with immense power.

Skógafoss gained even more fame after featuring in Game of Thrones. According to legend, a giant hid a treasure behind its roaring waters—but we’ll let your guide reveal the full story!

Sólheimajökull Glacier

Iceland is covered by glaciers across approximately 11% of its land, each with its own unique character and story to tell. Among them, Sólheimajökull stands out with its breathtaking landscape, where ice and volcanic ash intertwine to create a striking visual contrast.

Located on the South Coast, Sólheimajökull is a glacier in constant transformation, shaped by the powerful forces that define Iceland’s ever-changing nature. Its surface is partially blanketed in dark volcanic ash from past eruptions, creating a mesmerizing interplay between the pure white of the ice and the deep black of the lava deposits.

This glacier is a true symbol of Iceland’s dramatic contrasts, where glaciers and volcanoes coexist in a raw and awe-inspiring landscape. Exploring Sólheimajökull offers a unique opportunity to witness the untamed beauty of the land of fire and ice.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

Reynisfjara, known to Game of Thrones fans as the filming location of the Dragon Glass Cave, is often regarded as the most beautiful beach in Iceland. This extraordinary black sand beach is rich in geological wonders, with towering basalt columns standing defiantly against the ever-restless sea.

But Reynisfjara is more than just a breathtaking sight. During the summer months, the cliffs above the beach become a thriving nesting ground for thousands of migratory birds, including the world-famous puffin. Each year, these seabirds return from the open ocean to nest along Iceland’s rugged cliffs, creating an unforgettable spectacle for visitors.
