If the golden circle is mostly famous for its national park, the Geyser, and Gullfoss, we propose you here an extended version of our Golden Circle Essentials tour, which also includes two farm visits.
One is a dairy farm, the other one a tomato farm, because, yes, we do grow tomatoes in Iceland!
Description of your Golden Circle tour
- Your guide will pick you up at your hotel at a pre-agreed time
- Enjoy a full day of sightseeing and a delicious lunch in a tomato farm.
- Drive back to Reykjavik and drop off at your hotel.

The National Park: Thingvellir
The national park of Thingvellir is of interest both for historical and natural reasons. Your guide will tell you everything there is to know about this place and take you on a walk to its wonders.
Dairy farm visit
The farm of EfstiDalur has been operated by the same family since the year 1750. We genuinely think this is the best ice cream in Iceland, and probably in the world!
The Geyser: Strokkur
Strokkur is a geyser located in a geothermal area. Its big brother: Geysir, the geyser that named all the geysers in the world is currently dormant.
But Strokkur erupts every 5 to 10 minutes!
The waterfall: Gullfoss
About 30m high, Gullfoss (The Golden Waterfall) is extremely powerful. Now an emblem of nature preservation, the waterfall would have disappeared if a project of hydro-power plant had been carried to term.

What to know before you go and bring with you:
It is important to be aware that weather conditions in Iceland can change very quickly and can get very windy and rainy in some occurrences. This statement is mostly true in winter, but it is also the case in summer.
Therefore, we recommend that you take with you proper footwear and weatherproof clothes.
This tour does not present any difficulties and does not require any specific level of fitness. Although, some visits may include:
- 20-30 minutes walk on flat easy terrain.
- 10-15 minutes walk with a few stairs.
