Payment rules

In Case of a ready to Book Day private day tour

The client pays either directly online or via bank transfer or via a payment link that will have been sent to him/her via email.

Payments for Day Tours and Ready To Book Tours are made in totality at the time of the booking.

In Case of a taylor made tour

A deposit of between 20 and 50% of the total amount (depending on the tour) will be asked to the customer to confirm and secure the booking. This deposit is non-refundable.

The rest of the amount will be paid later, usually one month before departure.

This rule applies for both day tours and multiday tours

IF FOR ANY REASONS (usually seasonality), DIFFERENT CONDITIONS ARE MENTIONED ON THE QUOTE YOU RECEIVE FROM US, THEN THOSE CONDITIONS APPLY

For schedules departures

We will cancel the tour and offer a full refund if we have less than 3 seats booked for the tour.

This cancellation can occur up to 10 hours before the tour, and will be sent by email, on the email you provided with the booking.

Cancellation rules

If the customer cancels a Day Tour:

  • Cancellation from the customer must be made in written form and sent to Lilja Tours via email: julien@lilja-tours.com
  • Tour cancelled less than 24h before scheduled departure is non-refundable
  • Tour cancelled between 24h and 48h before scheduled departure will be 50% refunded
  • Tour cancelled over 48h before scheduled departure will be 100% refunded

If the customer cancels a Multi-Day Tour or any Taylor-Made Tour:

  • If a deposit has been paid, the deposit is non-refundable
  • The rest of the payment follows the rules of cancellation of a regular day tour as mentioned above.
  • IF FOR ANY REASONS (usually seasonality), DIFFERENT CONDITIONS ARE MENTIONED ON THE QUOTE YOU RECEIVE FROM US, THEN THOSE CONDITIONS APPLY

If the cancellation comes from Lilja Tours ehf.

  • Cancellation due to weather or road conditions: If the road conditions or the weather does not allow us to conduct the tour safely, or if the roads are closed that day, we will try to propose you another date or another tour. If no agreement can be found, we will refund you 100%.
  • If Lilja Tours ehf. cancels the tour for any other reasons: This is highly unlikely, 99% of the time, if the cancellation comes from us, it will be for the reason mentioned above. In any case, if we cancel the tour, you will always be refunded 100%.
  • For scheduled departures, if we cancel the tour because of lack of participants, you will be fully refunded.

Advertized itinerary

The itineraries, number of visits, and visited places that we propose in our tours, especially pre-made tours, are not final. And even though our guide will always try to stick to the established program, this one can always be subject to slight modifications. The reasons can be (but not limited to):

  • The weather/roads conditions do not allow to do some parts of the tour safely.
  • The guide proposed a different visit than the one on the itinerary and the customer agrees to it
  • The site is closed
  • The place is fully booked
  • The customer decided not to do it or terminate the tour

Depending on what happened, no refund, a partial refund, or a total refund will be granted.

We are doing our best to keep our advertised itineraries up to date, but cannot guarantee it.

Payments

  • We accept online payment, via the booking service: Bokun.io and using the payment gateway Rapyd
  • We accept Bank transfers
  • If a refund is granted, it will be done via the same channel as it had been received.
